- $4.1B of total funding raised in the U.S. in October, the most since September 2011
- Most active 2013 YTD investors: Techstars, 500 Startups, Andreessen Horowitz and New Enterprise Associates
- Software took over Biotech for the top Industry by funding rounds in 2013 YTD, followed by: Enterprise, Mobile and Web
