How to build a Crunchbase search to identify market trends
1. Start creating a Search
Start on the Acquisitions Search page (on the left-hand navigation), and click Add Acquisitions to start building the search.
2. Add filters to the Edit Filters menu
In this case, we’ll filter on the Announced Date and Acquired Organization Industry. To find the latest acquisitions, we type in “one year ago” in the Announced Date box. Additionally, we type “Robotics” in the Acquired Organization Industry to filter based on industry. When you’ve finished adding filters, click Search.
Our search yields 26 matching acquisitions.

3. Save the search to get automatic updates
To keep tabs on the M&A Robotics industry, we want to get alerts when new acquisitions occur. Click the Save icon in the top right-hand corner of the Search page, then select Save as.
Give your search a name and select how frequently you want to get alerts for new acquisitions, funding rounds, and more. You’ll be the first to know when new acquisitions are announced or when there’s new activity with acquired companies in your search results.
You can also change the Privacy of your search to share the Search URL with colleagues. When you’re all set, click Create.
