Crunchbase is Partnering with Pledge 1% and Makes Commitment to Integrated Philanthropy

Today we’re proud to announce that Crunchbase has joined Pledge 1% as an early member and evangelist. Pledge 1% is a corporate philanthropic movement dedicated to helping early-stage companies integrate community giving into their businesses. Members of Pledge 1% commit to donating 1% of their product, equity, profits, or employee time to improve communities around the world.
Joining Pledge 1% was a clear choice for us because it aligned with our mission to democratize the way innovators find opportunities. We recognize that not all innovators have equal access to opportunities, and their ideas–no matter how great–may not have the same chances to break through. That’s why we plan to donate 1% of our product, equity, and employee time to help support nonprofits that are working to close the opportunity gap.
We’re also partnering to help spread Pledge 1%’s vision to other companies around the world. With the help of our millions-strong community of innovators, we can evangelize Pledge 1% to individuals who will help integrate giving back as a core value in their own companies. To date, the Pledge 1% movement has 8,500+ members in over 100 countries and has seen over $1 billion in new philanthropy.
