How to Add or Edit a Profile on Crunchbase
How do I add a profile to Crunchbase?
*Note: Adding a new profile does not require a Crunchbase Pro subscription
As Crunchbase is a crowdsourced platform, anyone can add or update any profile. To add a new profile, you’ll need to have two things: 1) a Crunchbase account and 2) connect your Crunchbase account to either Facebook, LinkedIn or Twitter so we can validate your identity.
To log in or register for a new Crunchbase account, click here. After you are logged in, go to the “My Account” page and then click on “Social Authentication”. Next, authenticate via one of the available social network.
Once you are logged into Crunchbase and are connected to at least one social network account, you can click the “+Contribute” button on the left side menu to add a new profile.
How do I edit a profile on Crunchbase?

With Crunchbase, any registered Crunchbase user (with a social network connected) can add or edit any profile page. If you don’t have a user account yet, you can register for a user account here.
Once you’ve logged in and authenticated via a social network, you can visit your existing profile by finding it through the top search bar.
To edit the page, click the “Update” button at the upper right of any section of the profile.
How do I update the profile photo in my profile?
To update a profile’s photo, you will need to be a registered Crunchbase user with a social network connected. If you don’t have a user account yet, you can register for a user account here.
Once you’ve logged in and authenticated via a social network, go to your profile and do the following:
- Click “Update” at the upper right of the top Overview section
- Hover over the current logo and click the pencil icon
- Upload and submit a new logo
