Are you having trouble finding prospects? It’s easy to get lost chasing leads between wide-open Google and the LinkedIn rabbit hole.

Crunchbase Pro’s advanced search and tracking tool makes it simple. You can compile a specific set of leads in one place, and prioritize them based on their recent activity.

For example, let’s say we sell a software tool targeted at early-stage CRM companies.

First, we build out the search to look up CRM companies who’ve recently raised a Series A or B.

These unique filters scan the entire Crunchbase dataset and generate a targeted list of all CRM companies that have raised a Series A or Series B since October 1, 2016. The company names are on the left, where you can hover and get a quick breakdown of what they do, where they’re based, and their investment history.  To the right, you’ll see columns that show their respective Industry Group, Headquarters Location, Description, and Crunchbase Rank.

Narrow Down Prospects

We have a group of promising leads, but where do we start? To narrow down prospects, we want to identify the companies that have most recently raised their Series A or Series B.

Prioritize Prospects

5. Now we can sort our Last Funding Date column to see which companies have raised capital most recently. To see the companies with the most recent funding, we will click the down arrow, then click Sort by Descending.

Now our Crunchbase Pro search has prioritized which prospects to work first, based on last funding date. We see that PetDesk, Gong.io, and Vero are all Series B companies with recent funding in the last six months, and since they are closest to our ICP, we will reach out to them first.
